Payton, Morgan, and Anissa, three average tween girls from Waukesha, Wisconsin shared a love of fantasy, science fiction, scary stories and video games. But beneath the surface of seemingly mundane, somewhat nerdy interests, lay something sinister. Unbeknownst to Payton, Morgan and Anissa had begun to be sucked into the dark side of internet lore. The girls believed that a being called Slenderman was waiting for them to pledge their allegiance to his dark lordship, and what he wanted most was for the girls to kill.
